Waiting to get my haircut & some lady talking on the phone totally said “I’ll be there with bells on” !!! I guess now I know who says that stuff, besides Gus haha.

Also, I’ve been sick for a couple weeks & haven’t felt up to posting much…but will start up again soon.

Shules!

ineedausernamelikenow asked: If your episode mapping ever goes on sale- PLEASE - tell everyone! its insanley amazing! how did you make it?

Well as per my last post I’m planning on making files that you guys should be able to download & construct yourself! (Mostly because I’m sure I can’t make a profit or else ill get in trouble haha)…Hopefully I’ll be able to take it on now that there are 100+ episodes lol

I’m a graphic designer so I made the bulk of it on my best friend adobe Illustrator…printed it on a plotter (I had to individually insert each sheet of paper…twice! Because they are front & back :P)…hand cut & hole punch each one…& then used Velcro for the closure tab & put then together on a keychain! I think the hardest part though was finding a color combo that worked well all around in any mix that may happen depending on each episode & turns up well on grey paper. Oh & can’t forget rewatching each episode & taking notes! Epic Psych marathon!

I think that’s it for the most part (^_^) yay for Psych-Os!

Pineapples for you guys! One from Delray Beach Florida, one of a pineapples eraser & charm, & the other is pineapple hibachi…whaaaaat?! (Yup that’s right, you guys gotta try it sometime)

Do you guys see pineapples in your everyday lives & think of Psych? I do!

Get ready! Almost as exciting as the first episode of the season :D make sure you guys give a toast! & vote for the ending!…also I’ve been thinking, I have been getting a lot of requests for the project I did…the episode guide. Now that there’s about to be 100 episodes peeps got to keep track right? & what about the new fans? Well, I’ve decided that after I read Game of Thrones I will finally buy a new computer…& once I do I’ll rework my project so that I can post it online for you guys to print & put together yourselves! All you’ll need is a printer, scissors, a hole punch, & a keychain. But I’m warning you guys now, that its going to be a lot of work to fine tune it & add the other seasons I did not make yet. So please stay tuned…follow me…& hopefully ill crank it out before the fall? I’m also going to work towards making my own Psych inspired posters for you guys once I get my computer! Thanks you guys for being psych-o & patient! :D

Lets get psych-o this Wednesday!

cas-the-angel asked: That project you did on the breakdown of psych episodes is absolutely amazing! As a person who has watched the show since it aired (and he's at least 10 full episodes completely memorized) I think it's fascinating to see what characteristics are repeated through out the show. I was wondering if you would ever sell those on etsy or something? I'm sure many people, including me of course, would totally buy it!!

Thanks for your response!…I would sell it on etsy, however it probably wouldn’t be anytime soon, because I’d have to figure out how to produce it one a larger scale lol. (Maybe once the series is done so i can make a complete version?) If I ever do though, I’ll def let the Psych world know…or rather USA network to make sure I don’t get sued haha! & yeah one of the main reasons why I did this project is because of the many psych features that repeat & make Psych so awesome. I must have watched every episode at least 20+ times for the project & for leisure.

Thanks again for your response (^_^)

Spoiler alert: I’m going to talk about the new ep! Although I shouldn’t have to alert anyone, because you should have already seen it!

As I write I am watching Santabarbaratown 2 for the third time! Just wanted to watch it a few times before I started to write about it. First off, I thought it was a really good back in action premiere episode. Well worth the wait. There was a good mix of new interesting things going on with the classic shenanigans that makes Psych so lovable. One of the first things I noticed was the video editing of Shawn’s actions. More specifically the slow motion Assassin’s Creed-esque actions (breaking glass & seeing clues) and the increase of emphasis of Shawn’s clue perception. I do like the dramatic emotion the slow motion brings for the episode, although I’m not sure it should carry throughout the series. The latter however would work for future episodes. It shows improvement & screams new season awesomeness. Small thing to note was the alias given to both Shawn & Gus, interestingly caught me off guard to the usual ‘I’m Shawn, this is *insert random funny Gus alias here*’ This episode also gladly brings back a nice overview of other Psych favorites such as ‘going boneless’ ‘don’t make up words’ ‘the blueberry’ their obsession with delicious food and many others.

& dudes the half beard disguise is genius! I literally laughed out loud…& when I saw what happened to the blueberry. I loved the addition of the cranberry, adorable idea…albeit short lived.

I mentioned briefly that this ep highlighted their love for food. This is awesomely seen with the debut of Jerk Chicken Nachos & of course I had to look up the recipe!

I have yet to try it, but thought I should share anyway…one day ill make a Psych themed food post!

I also really liked how every character was thoroughly portrayed that served as a review of Psych. Shawn was mainly emotionally driven but always broke it up with humor. He was def more badass in this ep though. When he straight up pulled out the gun, that was pretty baller. The twist in character really made it interesting. Gus was still loyal, put into unfortunate situations, & snappy towards Shawn’s ways. Lassiter was so Lassie with his high view of himself, but still had a moment of caring & humanity. I also enjoyed the mention of Marlowe to show that they didn’t forget about her! Juliet was her caring, but tough save the day self (although i felt like she didnt get as much airtime but enough to reinforce her feelings for Shawn) and Chief Vic was classically acting tough but has enough heart to break the rules despite her authoritative position.

Finally, I found it interesting that as I waited for the second showing of the ep, I ran into many things that reminded me of Psych. To start, the Miz was on Conan. The Miz had just as much crazy energy as he did when he starred on Shawn & the Real Girl. In addition, the word ‘cathartic’ came up while they were talking it up. I mean really, how many times do you really hear that word in a 2hr span? Then while I was watching an ep of CSI, there Woody was & his creepy self :P

Overall…my heart hearts this episode & Psych!

isawthatonpsych:

Hey guys…this is one of my senior GD projects that I did & it was based off of…you guessed it…Psych! The project dealt with mapping information…so I mapped the episode configuration (based on my own system) of each episode of Psych up to Season 5 and made it into a sort of product for Psych fans.

Based on a color system, this guide describes the sequential use of certain characteristics of the show to portray how each episode is set up and how it relates to the other episodes. One side shows the color code, the other side shows a detail of that specific characteristic. For example, the color code for a flashback is dark blue. On the color code side, you will see when the flashback occurs within the episode and on the back, you are able to read what happens in that flashback. Some characteristics are not described, however, in order to give Psych fans a fun challenge to find that characteristic in the episode. This gives a more fun and playful interactive detective side of this product, which is what the show is about.
